Widely recognized as one of the chief architects of South Africa's post-apartheid democracy, Dr. Don Beck talks about how nations transition through different political ideologies. He reflects upon his experiences in South Africa and discusses regime change with specific reference to the current situation in Iraq.
About Don Beck
Dr. Beck is a leading global authority on political and societal change. He is a co-founder of the National Values Center in Texas, USA, founder of the Center for Human Emergence (CHE) and is CEO of the Spiral Dynamics Group. Beck's long career as a consultant has taken him to 10 Downing Street to advise Tony Blair's Policy Unit, to the offices of former President Bill Clinton and to the World Bank to discuss the future of Afghanistan. Between 1982 and 1998 he made over 60 trips to South Africa, where he played a central role in the peaceful transition to democracy.
